Each
student will give two presentations on aspects of Caesar's life,
on his written work and on life in Britain. One will focus on some
socio-historical-political aspect of Caesar's career (the first
half of the semester), while the other will focus on one chapter
of the Latin text. The resources you will use for the historical
presentation include the Oxford Classical Dictionary, the
introduction to Hammond's translation, and the web
resources. For the Latin textual presentation, you will be assigned
one paragraph for which you will lead the class' translation and
present various grammatical elements in the text. Each of these
presentations will be graded. |
