Greek Fonts

To read Greek on Perseus complete the first set of directions for Netscape Navigator or the second set for Internet Explorer.

For Netscape:
1. Select the work you want to read. Be sure to choose the Greek edition.
2. Click Configure display.
3. Under the Greek display section, choose Unicode (UTF-8).
4. Click Set Configuration at top.
5. Under the Edit menu click Preferences....
6. Under Appearance click Fonts.
7. Select Unicode For the Encoding.
8. Select Lucida Sans Unicode for Variable Width Font.
9. Select Lucida Console for Fixed Width Font.
10. Click Ok.

For Internet Explorer:
1. Select the work you want to read. Be sure to choose the Greek edition.
2. Click Configure display.
3. Under the Greek display section, choose Unicode (UTF-8).
4. Click Set configuration at top.
5. Under the Tools menu click Internet Options....
6. Click the Fonts button at the bottom of the window.
7. Select Latin based as the Language script.
8. Select Lucida Sans Unicode as the Web page font.
9. Select Lucida Console as the Plain text font.
10. Click Ok.
