Audrey Platt Jacobson spent a month in March soaking up the sun in Siracusa, Italy. They returned home via Malta and London—“a great trip.”
Two of Marge Fee Neff’s granddaughters graduated from high school in June; one is attending Appalachian State University.
Naples, FL, resident Mary Mitchell Durland had lunch with Betsy Bell Condron and Joe. Mary later met with Betty McNeil Noonan, who had a knee replacement in April.
Received a note from Bill Shaw, husband of the late Marion Wambold Shaw, who enjoyed our last Scope and reading about all the gals he used to meet at Reunion. Bill has recently authored two books under the pen name H. Ben Avon.
Elizabeth Werson Schlassberg was re-elected to the board of directors of Chelsea Square. In addition to her routine activities (caring for two poodles, playing piano, and watching the news), she is writing a book. A granddaughter performed in the musical Applause in NYC in June.
I plan to establish a scholarship at Skidmore in the name of my daughter-in-law (who died during our last reunion), to fund the education of a promising student of dance or education, both fields to which Erin was so dedicated. I am still at the beach and have gone up to the country twice so far. There is a bear that stalks my house for the honey made by the bees in my walls.
