Barbara Ketchum Lahey, who lives in Boulder, CO, has fond memories of us all. She says she is rich in time and so far totally independent, taking care of house and garden, doing a lot of nonfiction reading. She says, “There’s so much to be learned about this world.” Two sons and five grandchildren live nearby, her oldest son and two more grands are in California, and her daughter lives in North Carolina.

Eleanor Dillaway Rowland has an original watercolor hanging in the gift shop at the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, NY. It depicts Charlotte Pruyn Hyde walking in her garden with granddaughter Mary Van Ness. Limited-edition prints of the painting are being sold in the museum gift shop. Eleanor holds art classes in her local senior center and has an exhibit on view at the Adirondack Mountain Club in Lake George.

Bettina Towne Moore celebrated her 90th birthday with a dinner dance given by her husband, John. She is also celebrating two new great-grandchildren: Grandson Scott has a baby boy, and granddaughter Lindsey has a daughter. Until the Moores can go visit the new additions, Bettina enjoys viewing their pictures on the computer.

Janet Rich Bradley has moved from Oklahoma to Scottsdale, AZ. Her husband, John, died four years ago. Happy says her kids decided she best make the move while she “could still walk and think well enough to tell them what to do.”

Adele Bagg Durward, who is 89, loves painting despite some aches and pains.
Peggy Jouard Gibson enjoyed a week with her family in New York in March.

Ruth Mook Kerr and Don enjoyed summer at their Canada Lake Adirondack camp. They no longer water-ski themselves, but their grandchildren are glad to be pulled around. They limited their boat time this summer because of gas prices.

Audrey Mayforth Wetzler and Bob have a new address in Vero Beach, FL.

Genevie Wyckoff Sewell is still living in her home since Bill’s death. She has a full calendar of activities, including bridge once or twice a week. In July she attended her grandson’s wedding in Austin, TX.

Alma Steinen Jung’s daughter Sally reports that Alma is in a nursing home with severe Alzheimer’s. Her husband, Charles, died in 2006.

Miriam Ogden Cudmore says she is “holding forth.” Her husband, Kenneth, died in May after an extended illness. Oggie was our longtime class secretary, and Ken, a computer whiz, helped her get her class notes column to the college via e-mail. He was also a regular attendee of our reunions, combining them with his own at Cornell. Our deepest sympathy goes to Oggie and family. Oggie had two cataract surgeries and now sports new glasses as well as a new hearing aid. She is back to her crafts, painting and needlepoint. She also enjoyed a two-week visit from daughter Wendy Cudmore ’72.

Carolyn Barton Davis is still living in her own home, tending her flower beds, golfing, and driving. She has two daughters, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
I envy Carolyn tending her flower beds, but have discovered with container gardening I can get my hands in the soil and enjoy the results, despite arthritis.

Sadly, Elena Arno Jalon died in June. Her husband, Cyril, writes, “My beloved Leni’s heart finally gave out.” She had a delightful accent and much artistic talent. She will be missed.
