Roberta Hotaling Watson became a great-grandma twice this spring when two of her daughters (both in North Carolina) gave birth.

Mary Heber Mathews and family enjoyed a cruise to islands off the coast of Rhode Island. Family members from California arrived the night before for a reunion dinner. The rest of the clan caught up at Martha’s Vineyard, the last stop on the six-day jaunt.

Charlotte Diment Eckel lives independently and has the support of two sons who live within a few miles of her townhouse. She enjoys playing bridge and getting together with other members of the “Monday Club” (a group of close friends who give papers on subjects of interest). Charlotte continues her volunteer work for Visiting Nurse Services (of which she is an honorary member) and Westerly Hospital (which has given her the title of “incorporator”). Charlotte writes, “I miss Gen Oliver. She was our den mother.”

Betty Wiles is a member of the Ocean County Artists Guild in Bayville, NJ, where she exhibits her paintings once a month.

Dorothy Fisher Terner enjoys retirement in Boulder, CO, near both daughters and their families. Dorothy audits courses at the University of Colorado, where one daughter is a professor, and says, “Sometimes I feel like I’m right back at Skidmore!” The family also takes advantage of a mountain cabin located an hour away.
