Nancy Bigelow Bird sold her apartment in NYC and took off for Plano, TX, where she owns a “real” house, bought a car, and is enjoying “a totally different existence.”

Susan Wickware Moyer has shifted from one place in Florida to another. Currently in temporary quarters, she hopes to settle somewhere permanently this summer.

Connie Amato Gallo had to cancel plans for a spring cruise, to undergo knee surgery.

Beverly Fancher Goodwin and husband Robert had breakfast last fall with Barbara Fee Dickason and husband John while the Dickasons were in Vermont visiting a son. Bev has kept up with her artwork, preparing watercolors and pastels for a show at a small café. When she moved to Vermont, she took classes at a community college; a group of the students then chose to work together on their own. It has become a once-a-week painting session at their homes. She says they have all improved, and become good friends.

Janet Carton Schroth sent word that Patti Black Carlesimo ’75 is executive director of the Monmouth/Ocean County Cerebral Palsy Center, the facility that Jan’s son, Emil, told us about at our 50th reunion (Jan says he loved his trip to Saratoga Springs). Emil has since delivered similar presentations to Rotary clubs, women’s organizations, and college and high-school audiences.

Carol Bradford Kirby celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in spectacular fashion. She and her husband took their 14 children and grandchildren to the magnificent Greenbriar Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, WV, for Thanksgiving.

Bobbie Dickason and John have been visiting classmates around the country. They spent time with Francine “Patsy” Lanpher Compton in Los Angeles, CA, and in Florida. Patsy spent the winter skiing; the spring was taken up with home maintenance and Easter crafts.

Pat Gove Williams and husband Craig took an April trip through Mexico’s Sierra Madre and Copper Canyon, prior to spending a week exploring New Mexico by car.

In March Mary Jo Marcy Rines and Mel enjoyed skiing with Sally Sanderson Cutler and Debbie Phillips at Waterville Valley, NH; in April they spent four days visiting Mary Caskey Avery and husband Skip at their new home in Brays Island, SC.

On what would have been Beverly Hinsch Owen and her late husband’s 50th wedding anniversary last October, one of their granddaughters was married.

Carol Claflin Kurtz has moved again, from one building to another in the same apartment complex. During February school vacation she and her husband did some house- and dog-sitting for her daughter’s family on Cape Cod. They had planned to connect with Jacquie Bailey Martin, but snow kept the visit to a phone call.

Lois Kite VanWagner’s husband Lysle died last year. Lois is grateful for the 53 years they had together and says music has helped her over the gap in her life. Performing in three lengthy piano programs in the Saratoga community earlier this year, she also enjoyed playing at her home church in Maine this summer.
