In November Mary Rech Rockwell, a teacher and senior dean at the Nichols School in Buffalo, NY, spent three weeks in Tokyo, participating in the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program. Selected from a national pool of more than 2,500 applicants, she joined 200 other distinguished American primary- and secondary-school educators to promote greater intercultural understanding between the two nations.

Nancy Bucken shares this news: “It is with great sadness that Kim Rutkus Evans, Joyce Kiehnle DeGregorio, Caroline Donnelly Erni, and I let you know that our beloved friend Pat Tosi McGrail has died. She had been fighting brain cancer for many years, and the tumor became too great a challenge. She will always be remembered for being a loving wife and mother and an incredible friend. We all miss her dearly and we are blessed to have known her.” Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to the Massachusetts General Department of Nursing Fund or the Brain Tumor Center & Education Research Fund in Boston, MA.
