Advancement leadership update
In preparation for the departure of Sean P. Campbell, Collyer Vice President for Advancement,
at the end of July, President Marc Conner and Campbell have developed a plan for interim
leadership and management of Advancement through the end of the calendar year. This
plan ensures the successful conclusion of Creating Our Future: The Campaign for Skidmore and supports continued fundraising and engagement efforts essential to the growth
of Skidmore.
Lori Eastman, associate vice president for Advancement and Campaign director, and Ian Farrell, assistant vice president for development, will assume key responsibilities of the Collyer Vice President for Advancement role while retaining their existing duties. They will report directly to President Conner during this interim period.
Eastman, a 20-year veteran of the Advancement division and a Skidmore alumna, currently oversees several Advancement functions, including the Skidmore Fund, donor engagement and stewardship and overall management of Creating Our Future. Farrell manages teams in major and principal gifts, gift planning, foundation and corporate relations, and parent and family giving. He joined the College a year ago after holding leadership positions at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the College of Saint Rose over the course of his 20-year career.
Mike Sposili, assistant vice president for Alumni Relations and College Events, and Monica Keith, executive director for operations and prospect development, round out the Advancement leadership team. They, in partnership with Eastman and Farrell, will continue to provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the division.
