Your $4000 Ticket to a Memorable Summer

For 11 years, the CDC has granted Summer Experience Fund (SEF) awards to numerous students of all class years and majors for unpaid summer internships.  The process is competitive.  Last year, there were more than 400 applications submitted! 

Get ahead of the game.   Research all the awards,  apply to as many that interest you on Handshake, and stop by Summer Experience Fund drop-in hours the week of March 18:

• Monday, 3 pm – 4 pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday 2 pm – 3 pm
• Thursday 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
• Friday 1 pm – 2 pm. 

Deadline is coming quick for application submissions:  Monday March 25 at NOON.  No late applications will be accepted.

Sure thing!  Scott Jacoby ’93, founder of EUSONIA Records and owner of EUSONIA Studios in Manhattan, will be on campus Tuesday, March 26, Davis Auditorium from 5 pm – 6:30 pm.  An acclaimed composer, Scott has scored award-winning feature-length films, documentaries, television shows and national television commercials. Scott has also taught master classes and has been a featured speaker for many organizations.  What’s it like to work with Coldplay, John Legend, Rachel Platten, Janelle Monae, and more?  Scott will tell you!   Come meet him.

After a seven year career as a book editor and writer in New York City, Ally-Jane Grossan '10 (an English and Government major) finally found herself with a job that paid a decent salary. She heard that you should invest your savings, so she set out to do just that. She found the personal finance world to be filled with poorly written advice, and a lot of “big scary words that are just thrown around to deliberately confuse regular people.”  So she decided to do something about that and started a personal finance podcast called Moneysplained.

Now a co-founder of Brooklyn FI, Jane helps creative people- writers, artists, engineers, and architects, among others- to manage their money. Join us for pizza and real talk with this accomplished Skidmore alumna on Tuesday, March 26.
