Go Where the Jobs (and Internships!) Are: CIC 2020 in NYC
Have you heard about a career event held over winter break, where students travel
to New York City to interview for jobs and internships?
This event is Career & Internship Connections, an annual recruiting event attended by students from 16 top schools, including Skidmore.
Nearly 100 employers regularly attend CIC each year to connect with prospective employees and interns. This day is designed as a way for students to network and interview with a variety of companies in one place, on one day.
Though it is still early in the employer registration process , below are the companies
who have signed up to be part of CIC so far. Check back often to see additional sign-ups!

How the Day Works:
There are two parts of a day at CIC: the career fair in the morning, and an interviewing portion in the afternoon.
Here are the specifics:
- Date: Tuesday, January 7, 2020
- Location: New York City Hilton (1335 6th Ave, New York, NY)
- Career Fair: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Pre-select interviews: 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
For pre-select interviews, students must apply to jobs and/or internships of interest on Handshake by November 25. The CDC will update its CIC webpage as jobs and internship postings are shared. Check back often! Students can also explore the CIC Career Fair on Handshake.
Fun Fact: In past years, many Skidmore students have secured internships and jobs from CIC.
With a month left to apply for interviews, we encourage all interested students (all class years and majors!) to plan ahead and make appointments with career counselors for resume reviews and interview preparation. Don't wait until the last minute!
Additionally, e-reviews are available for resumes and cover letters. Simply email your materials to careercorps@skidmore.edu, and allow 48 hours for a response.
