COVID-19
In conjunction with the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, the below outlines current IRB policies and procedures:
- Researchers conducting on-campus, in-person human subjects research must ensure study procedures adhere, at minimum, to Skidmore’s COVID-19 policies and procedures in effect at the time.
- Researchers conducting off-campus, in-person human subjects research, and for which Skidmore will serve as the designated IRB, must adhere as closely as possible to Skidmore’s COVID-19 policies and procedures in effect at the time.
Additional Policies and Guidelines
- The "Risks" section in both the IRB application and informed consent form should address the COVID-19 risks your participants may encounter by participating in your research study and how those risks will be mitigated.
- As Skidmore's COVID-19 policies and procedures change during the year, protocols may need to be revised in order to be in compliance with those policies. In these cases, researchers must submit a protocol amendment request that details how the protocol will adhere, at minimum, to Skidmore’s COVID-19 policies and procedures in effect at the time.
