My Life In Google

My Life In Google uses the archives of Google Earth, Street View and Maps to create a personal memoir landscape film/live performance. Mixed with songs, sounds sourced from the web, and a live reading of a personal memoir/essay, the work examines themes of memory, nostalgia, and technology in order to geo-locate a descriptive genealogy, historical non-fiction, and travel journal of a life. (24 min)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Hard Problem

A collaborative project with performance artist Marina Abramović and science fiction author Kim Stanley Robinson based on a series of interactions between a story that Robinson was writing about a multi-generational spaceship heading to another star, and the performance art gestures of Abramović’s that are a journey into our inner self.
