Institute for curatorial practice
Prerequisites: Institute for Curatorial Practice participation
Salary: $2000 plus room and board
the Institute for Curatorial Practice at Hampshire College once again has seven paid internships to award to students who attend the ICP this summer.
These competitive internships take place after the conclusion of our June intensive program and are open to any undergraduates (including students graduating this year) who attend the program this summer. We have internships working with manuscripts, vases, prints, collages, sculptures, textiles and drawings, at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College, the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, the Smith College Museum of Art, the Mortimer Rare Book Room at Smith College, the University Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the Special Collections of the Hampshire College Library. We even have a research internship for a multi-media, national exhibition on food history! We have received generous funding for these internships from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Hampshire College Baldwin Scholars Program, and our partners in Museums10.
