UJIMA Announces Caribbean Awareness Week

Ujima, the student organization, has announced several events to celebrate Caribbean Awareness Week on campus. The schedule includes the following:

*Monday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m., Intercultural Center - In collaboration with the Education Department, Ujima will show a short documentary and host a discussion on last spring's student teaching experience in Antigua. For background, please visit the department's web page on the Antigua project. Free admission.

*Thursday, Sept. 28, 5 p.m., Intercultural Center - Caribbean Awareness Dinner

All are welcome to the event, which will feature food from Clayton's Restaurant. Admission is $5 per person.

*Saturday, Sept. 30, 1 p.m. Filene - Alma Moyo

Performance by a Puerto Rican Bomba group, courtesy of New York City's Caribbean Cultural Center. Admission is $3 per person.
