ARTSPASS available for purchase in downtown Saratoga Springs

For holiday shoppers seeking locally made gifts with lasting value, an ARTSPASS for SaratogaArtsFest 2010 may be the perfect choice. An ARTSPASS provides admission to roughly 75 festival events and cultural activities during the June 10-13 arts showcase, as well as discounts at Saratoga Springs restaurants and shops during the festival and then various year-round privileges at area arts organizations.

As a special holiday gift offering, the handcrafted ceramic ARTSPASS?in brilliant purple, the 2010 festival's signature color?is available at local venues during December. Each year since the festival's inception in 2007, L'Esperance Tile Works of Rock City Falls has produced the ARTSPASS, which can be worn during the festival and then kept as an attractive event souvenir.

Throughout the month, the ARTSPASS will be available at three Saratoga Springs locations: Impressions of Saratoga, on Broadway; Saratoga Beads, on Henry Street; and Mimosa, on Beekman Street.

As an incentive, the ARTSPASS for adults will be sold at a discount of $5, resulting in a price of $30. Other prices are $25 for senior citizens, $15 students and military personnel, and $5 for youth (ages 4-12). Children under 4 are admitted free.

SaratogaArtsFest 2010 will offer a broad variety of arts experiences, including music, dance, visual art, film, theatre, and literary art. The festival is designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences, from the seasoned arts enthusiast to the casual arts consumer to families with young children.

"The ARTSPASS represents an exceptional value, offering admission to many events in each arts genre at multiple venues in Saratoga Springs during the June festival, as well as benefits throughout the year at participating arts organizations," said Marie Glotzbach, president of the SaratogaArtsFest Board of Directors. "We're making a special effort to make the ArtsFest affordable for families, with adult discounts and low prices for young people."
