Award
David Peterson, associate professor of art, won a silver medal in men's 50-54 age group at the U.S. National Snowshoe Racing Championships March 6. More than 200 athletes (men and women) from across the U.S. competed in this year's event, which took place at Highland Forest Park in the Adirondacks.
Activities
Ian Berry, Malloy Curator at the Tang Museum who is currently serving as Acuff Chair of Excellence at Austin Peay State University (APSU), recently led a group of 16 APSU students to New York City for a week where they visited museums, galleries, studios, and the loft apartments of some of the country's top artists. The students are enrolled in a special topics class that Berry is teaching this semester at APSU.

Matt Littrell, baker, Dining Services, opened the Crazy Russian Girl Bakery inBennington, Vt., earlier this year in partnership with Natasha Gardner. The duo's chocolate chip and lemon-iced oatmeal cookies earned special mention in a recent review by Diana Elvin in the advocateweekly.com.
Crystal Dea Moore, associate professor and director, Social Work Program, was a source for "Bridges to Skidmore," published in the March 19 edition of Saratoga Today, the local weekly newspaper. The pilot program offers an abridged college experience for participants of Saratoga Bridges, a community resource for people with disabilities and their families.
Jill Sweet, professor emerita of anthropology, has for the past year been a contributor to Saratoga Today, where she authors the "Whiskers and Tales" column about pets and issues focusing on animal companions. Click here for her latest article.
