President's Award recipients named

The Office of the President has announced the 2010 recipients of President's Awards.

President's Awards are presented each year to members of the Skidmore faculty, staff, and student body who have embraced the educational mission and cooperative spirit of the College through their exemplary commitment to personal excellence, campus pride, and community service. The awards are intended to celebrate and symbolize the wide range of contributions by individuals and groups to the quality of campus life.

The following will be recognized this year:

Faculty: Winston Grady-Willis, director for Intercultural Studies and associate professor, American Studies; and Kimberly Marsella, coordinator and lecturer, Environmental Studies.

Students: Dawn Harfmann '10, Elana Hazghia '10, and Annie Satinover '11.

Staff: Erica Fuller, campus sustainability coordinator, Facilities Services; Michael Profita, director, Career Services; Robert Royce, senior end user computing specialist, IT?User Services.

Team: Health Services Team

Awards were given to the student honorees in conjunction with the May 6 Leadership Banquet. The faculty, staff, and team awards will be presented at the annual Employee Retirement and Recognition Luncheon on May 25.

This year 24 nominations were received. Thanks to all of you who took the time to nominate someone you felt was deserving of this award. The very fact that they were nominated is testimony to their significant contribution to Skidmore.
