Catherine Golden, professor of English, is the author of "Coal and Valentines: An Unlikely Pair with a Rich Philatelic History," a new entry on her blog at the National Postal Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.

Dan Nathan, associate professor and chair, Department of American Studies, is the author of "Asking a Fish About Water: Three Notes Toward an Understanding of 'The Cultural Turn' and Sport History" published in Sporting Traditions, Vol. 27, No. 2, November 2010.

Gordon Thompson, professor of music, is the author of "The Beatles at the Cavern Club, 9 February 1961," a new entry on his blog hosted by Oxford University Press.
