Paul Arciero, professor, Health and Exercise Sciences Department, is co-author (with Cay Anderson-Hanley
of Union College) of two papers:
-Social Facilitation in virtual reality-enhanced exercise: competitiveness moderates
exercise effort of older adults," published in Clinical Interventions of Aging, Vol. 6, 2011; and
-"Seniors Cybercycling for Enhanced Cognitive Performance," published in the journal CyberTherapy and Rehabilitation, Vol. 2, 2011.
In addition, he is co-author of "Interactions between adipose, bone, and muscle mass tissue markers during acute negative energy balance in male rowers," published in the Journal of Sports Medicine & Physical Fitness, Vol. 51, No. 2, 2011.
Timothy L. Harper, associate professor and chair, Department of Management and Business, is co-author with Barbara P. Norelli, social sciences and instructional services associate librarian, Scribner Library, of two articles: "Faculty-Librarian Collaborations: A Prescription for Effective Instruction," presented at the Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference held June 8-11, 2011 at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisc., and published in the event's proceedings. The pair also collaborated on "Scholarship in Academic Library Literature: Who, What, and When," forthcoming in College and Undergraduate Libraries.
Music Professor Gordon Thompson's December blog for Oxford University Press, "Brian Epstein Transforms the Beatles, December 1961," re-considers the role that the Liverpool businessman played in bringing the Beatles to a national audience on the 50th anniversary of the band signing a contract with him.

James Kettlewell, professor emeritus of art history, was a source for " Sign of change at City Center," a report on the new electronic sign on Broadway, published Dec. 17 in the Albany Times Union.
Denise Warner Limoli, associate professor of dance, was interviewed by Robert Altman, president and CEO of WMHT, for a broadcast of the San Francisco Ballet performing The Little Mermaid (choreography by John Neumeier). She spoke at length about the Skidmore Dance Department and her work with Skidmore ballet students. Photos of various dance faculty performances and footage of Limoli's production of Swan Lake with the orchestra at Zankel were included. The interview aired Dec. 16 on WMHT-TV, the Albany-area PBS affiliate.
Robert Turner, associate professor of government, was a source for "Was money spent wisely? A look at how Saratoga Springs candidates used their 2011 campaign funds," published Dec. 18 in The Saratogian.
