Jay Rogoff, lecturer in English, gave a reading of his poetry Oct. 11 at Lauderdale House, a 16th-century country house in London's Highgate neighborhood, in the venue's "Poetry in the House" series. The event also featured poets Kathryn Maris and John Menaghan.

Publications

Paul J. Arciero, professor of health and exercise science, is co-author (with Cay Anderson-Hanley, Sarah C. Westen, Joseph Nimon, and Earl Zimmerman) of Neuropsychological Benefits of Stationary Bike Exercise and a Cybercycle Exergame for Older Adults with Diabetes: An Exploratory Analysis, published in the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology, Vol. 6, No. 4, July 2012.

Dan Nathan, associate professor of American Studies, is the author of an article titled "Presidential politics: the true US national pastime" published on The Conversation. 

Jay Rogoff, lecturer in English, has published his poem "Double Waking" in The Hopkins Review, Vol. 5, No. 4, Fall 2012. The same issue also contains his latest essay-review of dance, "New Ballets for a Silver Age," which considers recent works choreographed by Peter Martins, Andrei Ratmansky, and Christopher Wheeldon.

Paul J. Arciero, professor of health and exercise science, recently hosted a visit to the campus by Saratoga Springs High School students enrolled in a new college-level nutrition course. The event was the focus of an Oct. 22 story in The Saratogian.

Sandy Baum, professor emerita of economics, was a source for "College costs going up at a slower rate," published Oct. 24 in USA Today.

Bob Turner, associate professor of government, was a source for a WNYT-TV interview Oct. 17, at the conclusion of the debate held at Skidmore between candidates for the U.S. Senate from New York State.
