The Schick Art Gallery and the Skidmore Summer Art Program present the 2015 Summer Art Faculty Exhibition, a group exhibit of works in a variety of materials and styles, on display from July 23 to Aug. 7. An opening reception is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23.

The Summer Studio Art Program's teaching staff includes both year-round Skidmore art faculty and visiting artists. This year the exhibition will present paintings, prints, sculpture, video, and photographs by 10 artists: RJ Calabrese, Terry Conrad, Katie DeGroot, Jane Fine, John Galt, David Gyscek, Kathy Hemingway-Jones, Elizabeth Terhune, Ilana Zwiebel, and Paula Wilson, the featured visiting artist of the 2015 Skidmore Summer Studio Art Program.

Wilson uses traditional printmaking, painting, and collage techniques alongside contemporary video and performance practice. She has exhibited her work at noted venues such as Sikkema Jenkins Gallery in New York City, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Fabric Workshop in Philadelphia. She will present a talk on her work at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, in Filene Auditorium.

Schick Art Gallery offers students, the college community, and the public an opportunity to view significant contemporary exhibitions that complement the Studio Art curriculum. The gallery is located inside the Saisselin Art Building on the Skidmore campus.
