Pencils of Promise

July 14, 2016

Melvis Langyintuo ’12 had an impressive run as a student at Skidmore College: captain of the men’s varsity basketball team, class president and a recipient of a $10,000 Davis Projects for Peace award. Since graduating, Langyintuo hasn’t slowed down. Now an analyst with Goldman Sachs, he was named one of the best basketball players on Wall Street by Business Insider and appeared in a music video with SNL actor Kenan Thompson. Most recently, Langyintuo successfully completed an online fundraising campaign for Pencils of Promise, raising $50,000 to build two schools in his hometown of Tamale, Ghana.
