Skidmore College has once again been named one of the nation’s best liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report. For the second year in a row, Skidmore clinched a coveted top-50 spot in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category, coming in at No. 38.

The U.S. News rankings focus on academic excellence and factor up to 15 measures of academic quality, including reputation, graduation retention, faculty resources and admissions selectivity. Each year U.S News surveys nearly 1,400 colleges and universities to calculate their ranking, and Skidmore has steadily climbed that list over the last decade.

“We are excited to see recognition of Skidmore’s excellence in education and academic reputation again in this year’s U.S. News ranking,” said Debra Townsend, interim vice president for communications and marketing. “It is an apt affirmation of Skidmore’s truly thriving academic and co-curricular environment.”

Skidmore was also recently featured on the Forbes lists of America’s Top Colleges 2016 and America’s Best Value Colleges 2016, as well as America’s Most Entrepreneurial Colleges
