President Philip Glotzbach was one of two Skidmore figures winning accolades from the Saratoga Springs Rotary Education Foundation in October. At its 17th annual community-awards brunch, SSREF recognized Glotzbach as an area educational leader and toasted one of its own founding board members, Florence Andresen, who is an active member of Skidmore's Class of 1957. Also recognized was the Franklin Community Center and leader Kari Cushing.

SSREF secretary Don McPherson said, "When President Glotzbach's name was suggested, it was a unanimous selection due to his leadership tenure at Skidmore as well as the many community-oriented activities conducted by the college community during his administration."

Glotzbach's remarks upon accepting the honor are posted here.

Established in 1997, the foundation has awarded more than $600,000 in college and vocational scholarships to high school students from the Saratoga area.
