Skidmore is recognized in national rankings

September 27, 2018

Skidmore has been recognized in national rankings for excellence in the liberal arts, innovation, student life and more.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Skidmore No. 41 in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category of the 2019 Best Colleges rankings released this month. In addition, the publication named Skidmore in the top 50 for “Most Innovative Schools,” “High School Counselor Rankings,” “Best Value Schools,” and “Best Undergraduate Teaching.”

The Princeton Review also included Skidmore in its 2019 list of The Best 384 Colleges, announced in August. Skidmore students, through The Princeton Review’s survey, earned Skidmore top 50 positions in the “Best Campus Food,” “Great Financial Aid” and “Best Quality of Life” categories.

For its commitment to sustainability, Skidmore was named a “10 Best Green School in America 2018” by The Knowledge Review magazine in August and a “Top 50 Green College” by The Princeton Review in 2017.

The college has received multiple additional favorable rankings from publications including Money Magazine, Forbes, Kiplinger and the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings. It has been recognized as one of “America’s Most Entrepreneurial Colleges,” a “Best Value” school and a “Hidden Ivy.”

Since rankings cannot completely capture the distinct nature of any college, prospective students are invited to visit our social media accounts and campus, to take a tour. Prospective students may also join the college’s mailing list to request more information and download the school’s Viewbook and other admissions publications.
