Skidmore honors employees, retirees

May 22, 2019

Skidmore College recognized employees and retirees at its annual celebration Tuesday.

“Thank you for helping to make Skidmore an even better place tomorrow than it is today,” President Philip A. Glotzbach said at the annual Employee Retirement and Recognition Celebration in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. “Thank you for all that you do.”

Glotzbach presented President's Awards to faculty and staff “who have embraced the educational mission and cooperative spirit of the College through their exemplary commitment to personal excellence, campus pride and community service.”

Staff Awards went to Natasha Bruce, assistant director for housing and operations, and Terri Kindl, academic administrative assistant in the Department of Management and Business. A Faculty Award was presented to Crystal Dea Moore, associate dean for diversity and faculty affairs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Human Resources Officer Brett Last and President Glotzbach recognized the dedication of more than 140 employees with five to 45 years of service to the College. Twenty-eight retirees were also recognized.

The ceremony followed a luncheon attended by hundreds of College employees and served by volunteers, who gave a break to the Dining Services team.
