Publications and Exhibitions
Jeffrey Segrave, professor of health and exercise sciences, published an article titled "Beethoven's
Ninth Symphony and Olympic Games Ceremonial" in the Journal of Olympic History, Vol. 25, No. 1. Segrave identifies and analyzes the place and role of Beethoven's
"Ode to Joy" which has traditionally been played during the opening and closing ceremonies
of the modern Olympic Games since 1924. Segrave also published an article titled "The
historiography of Pierre de Coubertin, Olympic Games founder" in Olympika: The International Journal of Olympic Studies (XXV, 1–36), the leading journal for the publication of Olympic research.

Kim Crabbe, executive director of the Career Development Center, was quoted in an April 24 WalletHub report titled "2017's Best & Worst Entry-Level Jobs." Appearing in the "Ask the Experts" section, Crabbe addressed how long new grads
should remain in entry-level jobs and taking a higher-paid opportunity outside of
one's preferred industry.
