Thought I Was Winning in the Game of Life ... But There Was a Flag on the Play' —Sport
in Charles Schulz's Peanuts," in The Comics of Charles Schulz: The Good Grief of Modern Life (Jackson, Miss.: University Press of Mississippi, 2017).

Diana Barnes, professor of world languages and literatures, was quoted in an Aug. 22 New York Times story titled "Far from Winner’s Circle, Saratoga Track Workers Fear Deportation." Barnes, a member of the Saratoga Springs Human Rights Task Force and frequent visitor
to Mexico, discussed the situation for workers at the Saratoga Race Course in light
of increased scrutiny by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
