Skidmore Spotlight: Matt Folts
Matthew (Matt) Folts works as a facilities project manager at Skidmore.
Folts said his past experience as a general contractor led him to his current role with the college, where he has served for 10 years. He appreciates the variety and challenge that each project brings, including recent renovations of the Surrey-Williamson Inn and Eissner Cottage, and countless other campus building upgrades and repairs.
Of his favorite campus traditions, watching along with the women's Thoroughbreds field hockey team tops the list. Folts's daughter, Marissa, is a junior defender, two-time all-region honoree and recent all-American for the Thoroughbreds.
Skidmore connections run deep in the Folts family, with Matt's wife, Patty, working
in the Office of the Dean of Special Programs.
When not busy managing building and renovation projects for Skidmore, Folts says
he is an avid outdoorsman and likes to fish and hunt.
