Skidmore Spotlight: Ron Taylor

Ron Taylor is a media services operations coordinator and a member of the Moore Documentary Studies Collaborative (MDOCS).

Taylor worked part-time as a video and digital film making instructor for the Skidmore Summer Art Program for two decades before joining the College’s media services team full-time in 2014.

“What I like most about working at Skidmore is the opportunity to interact with the student techs I supervise and those in my ‘Video Projects’ course,” Taylor said. “That, along with the beauty of the physical campus and the surrounding area, make this an ideal place to work!”

Outside of his work and teaching, Taylor enjoys attending student performances in all mediums and looks forward to the annual Senior Art Thesis show in the Tang Teaching Museum during the Spring Semester.

When not at Skidmore, Taylor is busy with his own photography and filmmaking pursuits as well as skiing and scuba diving.
