Kurt Smemo

Kurt A. Smemo, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, published the article “Ubiquitous and Significant Anaerobic Oxidation of Methane in Freshwater Lake Sediments” in the November issue of the journal Water Research.

 

Joan Anne Swanson and Mary Ellen Towne

Joan Ann Swanson, assistant professor and associate chair in the Department of Education Studies, and Mary Ellen Towne, lecturer in education studies and director of the Early Childhood Center, published “Play Space Assessment: A Pilot Case Study Using the Theoretical Integration and Application Matrix”  in the journal Early Child Development and Care.

Catherine Golden

Catherine Golden, professor of English, discussed anti-novel hysteria in 19th-century England in an interview with the Pessimists Archive Podcast. The episode, which debuted Oct. 15, is available on iTunes and on Soundcloud.  The interview is based upon her book “Images of the Woman Reader in Victorian British and American Fiction” (2003).  Her 2017 book, “Serials to Graphic Novels:  The Evolution of the Victorian Illustrated Book,” came out in a paperback edition in October.
