Faculty Staff Achievements Oct. 1, 2025

Pushkala Prasad, Zankel chair and professor of management for liberal arts, delivered the keynote address for the Management History Division of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC) at its annual meeting in Waterloo, Ontario, in May 2025. The title of her talk was "Racial Capitalism and the Development of White Managerialism: A Historical Organizational Analysis." 

Laurie Rabinowitz, assistant professor of education studies, was featured on the podcast episode, "Empowering Disabled Educators: Breaking Barriers in Special Ed," aired by the Division of Research for the Council for Exceptional Children.

Dennis Schebetta, assistant professor of theater, is performing selections from Shakespeare's Henry V in collaboration with the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra as part of "Sound and Shakespeare.”  

Jess Somerville-Braun, assistant professor and associate chair of education studies, co-authored "Translanguaging and Languaging Relations as Complementary Theoretical Lenses for Analyzing Classroom Interactions," published in the Journal of Language, Identity, and Education. The paper explores how translanguaging and languaging relations work together by analyzing one classroom event in a second-grade, multilingual, English-medium class.
