Alumni Awards 2013

Ten Skidmore alumni were recognized during Reunion Weekend at the Alumni Association Recognition Ceremony for their professional and life achievements and contributions to the College. They were selected by the Alumni Awards Committee, which began considering nominations in the fall and met in early February to make their selections.

“I know I speak for everyone on the committee when I say that we are constantly astonished by the spectacular achievements of our alumni, as well as the deep commitment to the College that so many have demonstrated – sometimes over a period of decades – in support of the College,” said Alumni Awards Committee Chair Steven Cohen ’72, P ’10, who presented the awards with Alumni Association President Gail Dudack ’70, P’11 and President Philip A. Glotzbach.

“This is our opportunity to recognize the application of the Skidmore experience in the pursuit of excellence and to express our deep appreciation to those Skidmore alumni whose support of the College has been consistent and unflagging.”

Below are brief excerpts from their remarks and links to their profiles.

One of the most gratifying experiences of being a Skidmore alumna/us is the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of one of our own. The Alumni Association Board of Directors actively seeks to identify alumni who deserve to be recognized for their achievements.  If you know a Skidmore alumna/us who meets the criteria for one of these awards, visit the Call for Nominations page to learn more and fill out a nomination.
