Dear Classmates,
Amazing but true!From May 28-31, 2009, the Class of 1954 will celebrate our 55th Reunion! We set a great precedent for fundraising success and unlimited fun at our 50th, BUT… the best is yet to come!
In July, we attended reunion planning sessions at Skidmore. With the help and guidance of a great team on campus, we put together what promises to be a memorable weekend. Beginning on Thursday, May 28, we'll get off to a great start at the Scribner Society dinner with President Philip A. Glotzbach. We'll be among the guests of honor as this occasion is for classes marking their 50+ Reunions. At #55, that includes us!
Friday evening will find us enjoying cocktails and dinner at the Gideon Putnam Hotel. On Saturday evening, our class dinner will be held on campus at the Faculty/Staff Club, which will be preceded by a Service of Remembrance at our Memorial Garden. Of course, we'll be at the traditional Saturday morning parade and Alumni Awards and Recognition Ceremony and attend the All-Class picnic that follows.
While putting together our daily schedule, our main focus was the importance of class time together to catch up with old friends, to reminisce, to reconnect and yes… to sing our hearts out! But we also allowed time for the mini-classes, lectures, roundtables and athletic activities provided by the College. A full program will be sent to us next March. For now, we've enclosed a class directory so you can begin reconnecting with classmates and start making your plans to attend our 55th Reunion.
Of course, we need a theme! This reunion it's "Glitter and Guilt" – '54 Celebrates
Saratoga's Past. History tells us that visitors to the "racey old town" knew how
to have a good time. We are planning to follow their famous example! Please do come
and join the celebration! See you in May!
