Why did you apply Early Decision?
After looking at lots of schools, Skidmore really stood out to me. I liked the location and the friendly environment, but most importantly, I could picture myself as a student on campus. Seeing myself as someone who belonged and was comfortable in this community was one of the most important factors in my choice to apply early decision.

Best part of college so far?
I have loved my college experience but the Skidmore College Outdoor Orientation Program might be my favorite so far. It was a great way to make friends and connect with people before starting classes.

Biggest surprise about college?
No question, being able to take a racquetball course for credit. It was really fun being able to try a completely new sport that I may not have otherwise participated in.

Advice on applying Early Decision?
If you can truly see yourself at Skidmore, any school, for that matter, don’t hesitate to apply early decision. But make sure to start the application process as early as you can, so that you have time to enjoy your final year of high school.

Something most people don’t know about you?
I have lived in Vermont my whole life and have never gone skiing!

Post-Skidmore plans or dreams?
I would like to join AmeriCorps. And I’m also considering a career in environmental education.
