Move Out Sign Up Letter

November 4, 2020

Dear Students,

I hope the end of the semester is going well.

I am writing today with information about move out and we need your input.

Just a reminder that the move-out day is Friday, November 20th.

We are asking that you complete a short survey  to let us know your preferred move out time. We will then make a move-out schedule based on your preferences. Our goal is to schedule everyone with a two-hour block of time in which to move out.

As you consider your move-out time, please keep in mind that November 20th is the last day of classes.

Please do not miss class in order to move out!

Please be sure to complete the form no later than Thursday, November 5th by 4:30 PM. We will need time to read through all submissions and assign times.

Below, please find important information about the move-out process:

Take all personal belongings with you

Even if you are planning to return to the same housing assignment, you are required to take everything with you. The College will not be able to store items left behind. Please contact Res. Life at reslife@skidmore.edu for list of off campus storage businesses.

Moving your personal belongings.

Please be aware, effective Wednesday November 4, there are new guidelines regarding travel into New York State. Travelers into New York State from non-contiguous states can ‘test out’ of mandatory 14 day quarantine by following these guidelines. For the health and safety of our community, we ask all family members traveling to campus to take responsibility for complying with all relevant guidelines and travel restrictions.

If you plan to have assistance with moving, one guest will be permitted to you to assist in moving. This person’s role is to help in the moving process. We are concerned about safety. Everyone (students and move-out help) is required to wear a mask at all times, follow all directional signs in each building as designated, observe social distancing, wash hands, and use hand sanitizer.
