Dana Naberezny and Bennett Beutel have fond memories of their jewelry design training during their time at Skidmore.

"I would not be the jewelry maker I am today without Skidmore and David Peterson (Professor of Art)," said Dana, Class of '95, who today is Vice President of Tiffany & Co.'s new Jewelry Design Innovation Workshop.  Launched Summer 2018, the workshop is a 17,000-square-foot space in New York City intended to bring designers, jewelers, engineers and quality experts together for collaboration under one roof.  The innovative space is a true testament that Creative Thought Matters.

Through networking, Bennett was introduced to Dana after he had graduated in 2016. Bennett had grown up with a sketchbook full of jewelry designs, and as a Management & Business major, he learned ways to further develop and present his ideas.  Bennett now serves as an engineering technician with Tiffany & Co.

The alums are proud to return to campus on Thursday, November 15.  Accompanying Dana and Bennett will be their colleagues David Barker, Senior Director-Engineering, Julianne Mays, Manager of Human Resources, Rachel Bassler, Manager-CAD, and Edward Janssen, Model Maker.  The team's visit will include meetings with art faculty and students, on-campus interviews for potential jobs and internships, and a panel event where the team will discuss their various career paths.

"Throughout my career I have hired several Skidmore grads who have found me through a network of alumni, friends and business associates," said Dana. "I love the idea of being able to give back to the school that gave me some of my jewelry and business foundation."
