A year marked by discovery and joy

September 3, 2025

“Creativity is always an act of love — and love is the source of joy.”

President Marc Conner shares his excitement as he welcomes students, staff, faculty, parents, and families to another year marked by community, creativity, curiosity, and care.

Guided by our new Strategic Plan, Skidmore is entering a season of growth shaped by the threads that unite our community, including excellence, belonging, opportunity, and sustainability.

Students can look forward to camaraderie, challenge, and discovery in energizing and welcoming spaces like Zankel Music Center, the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, the Tang Teaching Museum, and the new McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center. President Conner also encourages the community to engage in dialogue and explore fresh ideas with open minds and courage throughout the academic year.

As the semester begins, so do the possibilities ... welcome to the 2025-26 academic year!
