Katie Baustian, assistant professor of anthropology, published "Non-Adult Morbidity and Mortality at Tell Abraq, UAE (2197-2036 BC)" in Bioarchaeology International.
Ruben Castillo, assistant professor of art, is serving as a visiting fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Humanities Center, where they are sharing their research on queer futures, memory, printmaking, and visual narratives. In addition to presenting at the Humanities Colloquium, they will meet with printmaking students in the Department of Art.
Sarah Day-O'Connell, professor of music, published a chapter titled "Haydn in Plain Sight: A Reception History of Matisse's ‘The Music Lesson’" in the collection “Haydn Studies 2.“ The work received a publication subvention grant from the American Musicological Society.
Masami Tamagawa, teaching professor of Japanese, published “Japanese LGBTQ+ Lives, Diasporic Voices, and Resilience: Precarious Visibility.”
Gordon Ross Thompson, professor emeritus of music, won the 2025 Award for Best Historical Research in Recorded Popular Music from the Association for Recorded Sound Collections for his books Sixties British Pop: Outside In, Volume 1: Downtown, 1956–1965 and Volume 2: Itchycoo Park, 1964–1970.
