Orientation
Goals And Objectives For New Student Orientation
The purpose of New Student Orientation at Skidmore College is to orient students to our campus community and to prepare them to be successful at Skidmore. Our programming provides information and resources so that students can begin to:
- Transition to life on campus
- Build connections within the community
- Understand our values and community standards
- Prepare for college-level academics
NSO provides only an introduction to the areas enumerated above. Additional programming, growth, and experience is provided throughout the entire first year, some of which is facilitated during the 4th credit hour of the Scribner Seminar and much of which happens organically as students become comfortable in their new community and their living and learning environment.
Please note: Schedules of events are subject to change.
