Skidmore College - Homepage

For over 50 years, the President’s Society has been the philanthropic heartbeat of Skidmore College. This distinguished group of alumni, families, and friends contributes nearly 90% of all gifts to the Skidmore Fund annually — fueling the creativity, curiosity, and ambition of our students every day.

Lead boldly. Give meaningfully.

As a President’s Society member, you’ll join a community of impact-makers who believe deeply in Creative Thought Matters. Your support unlocks scholarships, sparks faculty-student collaboration, and sustains the Skidmore experience — from first-year seminars to senior capstones. Members also gain insider access to exclusive opportunities, including private webinars, regional gatherings, and the annual State of the College address delivered by President Marc C. Conner each spring.

Leadership giving levels begin at $2,500 annually — with tiered entry points for young alumni starting at just $250. Whether you’re investing in today’s students or shaping tomorrow’s leaders, your generosity leaves a legacy of possibility.

Inside access to Skidmore

In this exclusive President’s Society webinar, President Conner reflected on co-teaching The Making of Modern Ireland with Professor Barbara Black, Tisch Chair in Arts and Letters. The course culminated in a two-week student trip to western Ireland — Conner’s 27th visit — exploring the literature, history, and culture studied on campus.
