State-of-the-art facilities

The Computer Science Department is located in Skidmore’s new Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, which features a dedicated Linux Lab and other Linux workstations in student lounges and labs throughout the building.

Access to intriguing tech

Interested in teaching a robot how to move? Computer science major Hamza Mustafa ’27 did just that – working with Assistant Professor Wenlu Du to develop an AI model that trained a robotic dog on bipedal locomotion.

The ZEN Mentoring Program, offered through Skidmore’s Career Development Center, matches students with alumni based on shared academic and career interests. For computer science major Derrell Downey Jr. ’25, being matched with software engineer Ryan Fauver ’15 proved transformational.
