The NACCC survey was administered to all Skidmore students March 23 through April 21, 2021.  The survey was designed as a 15-minute quantitative, web-based survey.  An incentive was included where one student who completed the survey was randomly selected to win a $100 Mastercard gift card each week. 

The NACCC student survey contained six content areas:

  1. Institutional commitment to racial diversity and inclusion
  2. Impact of external environments (off-campus and online)
  3. Racial learning and literacy
  4. Encounters with racial stress
  5. Mattering and affirmation
  6. Cross-racial engagement and interactions

Findings

In total, 1,323 undergraduate students responded to the survey for a response rate of 53%.  The overall average response rate for institutions part of LACRELA was 30%.
