Schick Art Gallery hosts the 2025 Juried Skidmore Student Exhibition

January 27, 2025

Schick Art Gallery presents the Juried Skidmore Student Exhibition, this year titled "Talk to People Until You Are Forced to Hang Out," a perennial favorite showcasing the imagination and skill of Skidmore College art students. Each year, students submit works in a range of materials –– including prints, photographs, graphic design, painting, drawing, animation, fibers, jewelry, and ceramics –– for consideration by a juror unaffiliated with the Skidmore Art Department.

The final exhibition features a selection of works from over 250 submissions. Awards, underwritten by campus organizations, donors, and generous community businesses such as Adirondack Trust Company, Soave Faire, and Allerdice Hardware, are also allocated to certain entries by the juror.

This year's exhibition will kick off with an opening reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, remaining on display through Tuesday, March 4, in Schick Art Gallery, on the second floor of Saisselin Art Building. The Schick Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

All Schick Art Gallery exhibitions and events are free and open to the public.
