Zazie Beetz '13 will play Domino in Deadpool 2

Zazie Beetz '13 continues to ride the wave of success. In March, Deadpool star and producer, Ryan Reynolds confirmed via Twitter that Beetz has been cast as Domino, a telekinetic mutant who uses her powers for good, in the upcoming movie sequel. Beetz, a French major while at Skidmore, currently stars as "Van," on the Golden Globe-winning TV Series Atlanta.

Beetz isn't the only Skidmore alum portraying a Marvel character in a live action role. Jon Bernthal '99 scored his own Daredevil-spinoff after the success of portraying The Punisher on season two of the Netflix series. Bernthal returned to Skidmore in December 2016 to meet with students and discuss his career.

The fine arts major is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Certified Coach. He will head to Switzerland for the 2019 World Championship Games.
