Lloyd C. LaMora Jr.
Lloyd C. LaMora Jr., who served Skidmore as a custodian from 1980 until his retirement in 2005, died Oct. 19, 2022. He was 80.
“Lloyd was a great colleague who served Skidmore with dedication for many years,” said Maintenance Mechanic Peter Sickler. “He was always great to work with, had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to help out.”
Born on Sept. 14, 1942, in Potsdam, he served in the U.S. Navy. In 1967, he married Mary E. (Hewitt) LaMora, who also retired from Skidmore and died last year.
Lloyd is survived by his brothers Tommy and Donald LaMora, sisters Janice DeShane and Bonnie LaFay, sister-in-law Joan Fitch, and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was interred with full military honors at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
