A perfect match

Skidmore partners with QuestBridge, a nonprofit organization that matches high-achieving, underserved students with opportunities in higher education. Skidmore participates in National College Match and enrolls a number of QuestBridge students each year, some through “match” and others through our Early Decision and Regular Decision rounds.

FAQs

You can always visit the QuestBridge Eligibility webpage, but know that the organization seeks high school seniors who have, “shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges.” You must graduate from high school during or before the summer that you plan to enroll as a first-year student. Any student may apply, regardless of citizenship, so long as they are attending a high school that is within the United States. For specific details on the level of academic achievement that makes QuestBridge applicants successful in the Match process, please visit the QuestBridge Eligibility webpage.

Finalists in the QuestBridge Match typically come from households earning less than $65,000 annually (for a household of four) with minimal assets. Though this isn’t a cutoff, QuestBridge asks students to review their Financial Criteria before determining whether they are eligible.

If admitted through the QuestBridge National College Match, students receive a guaranteed Match Scholarship that covers the full cost of attendance at their Match institution for four years.

Finalists and Non-Finalists in the Match can still apply to Skidmore through QuestBridge. Skidmore will reach out to all non-Match students and let them know the next steps.
