Celebrate alumni. Support students. Honor a legacy.

In partnership with Harold Herz ’89 and Anne Margiloff Wargo ’89, Skidmore created the Alumni Memorial Scholarship — a new, collective way to honor the lives and legacies of alumni who are no longer with us.

Your gift makes a lasting impact. When you give to Skidmore in memory of a friend or classmate, you do more than honor their spirit — you help provide essential financial aid to current students. Your tribute becomes part of a living legacy.

Why it matters now. Financial aid remains one of Skidmore’s most urgent priorities. The Alumni Memorial Scholarship offers meaningful, immediate support to students with financial need — and builds a permanent resource that reflects the strength of the alumni community.

Why we give.

"Respecting the past by honoring the future has always been an important credo in our family. One of the strongest ways we can honor their memory is by creating opportunities for Skidmore students. I am proud to be a part of this effort and hope to create a meaningful legacy for Skidmore.”  - Harold Herz '89

“In the spring of 2014, we lost my dear friend Jennifer Landers ’90 to cancer. Because she cared deeply about Skidmore, her family and a core group of her friends, including me, endowed a fund at Skidmore to honor her memory and support current students in perpetuity. With this in mind, and Jennifer’s fund as a model, I’m so pleased to have been able to work with the College on the creation and funding of this Alumni Memorial Scholarship. Now all alumni will have an opportunity to honor lost friends and classmates by helping to make a Skidmore education possible for current students who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of the opportunity. I hope that you will consider joining me in this effort.” - Anne Margiloff Wargo '89
