Skidmore College - Homepage

When you build a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, the possibilities are nearly infinite. Our rigorous major is flexible enough to combine with a second major or minor, allowing you to customize your path. Small class sizes, an active research program, and project-based learning are our equation for success.

What will you learn?

Students meet Skidmore’s major requirements by completing 11 courses in mathematics or designated courses in statistics, computer science, or economics at the 200 level or above. From there, you can further focus your path toward a future in theoretical or applied mathematics, statistics, or education.

Where will you go?

The quantitative skills you’ll learn at Skidmore are in high demand. Alumni often pursue careers in business, education, finance, and science or go on to graduate programs in mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, economics, engineering, finance, and law.
