Girls and Boys Soccer 

Session 1 (Ages 8-12)
July 8 - july 12, 2024

Coaches will send camp details and required information to registered campers before camp begins. 

Time: Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 3 pm and Friday, 9 am - 12 pm

For: Children Ages 8-12 (Must be entering 2nd grade to start full day camp)

Cost: $295

Some camps will not be available for walk-up registrations based on enrollments. In the cases where there are spaces available, a $25 walk-up fee will be charged.

Program Information

The Skidmore Soccer camp is designed for those players who want to develop and improve their individual soccer ability.  The camp will also introduce training techniques in speed and agility, two areas that are critical for a player to progress to the next level.  There will be a major emphasis on soccer footwork, individual ball skills and technique training in a positive and fun atmosphere.

Equipment

Campers will need to bring their own soccer ball and appropriate footwear for soccer, (cleats or turf shoes and sneakers for indoors).  Every player MUST wear shin-guards.  Campers should bring a full water bottle, bag lunch, hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing for exercising in summer.

Program Information

This half day program is designed for players just entering the soccer world.  Our coaches will provide a fun, engaging environment that will help your young player fall in love with the sport.  The focus will be on age appropriate games that will train skill development.

Campers will need to bring their own soccer ball and appropriate footwear for soccer, (cleats or turf shoes and sneakers for indoors).  Every player MUST wear shin-guards.  Campers should bring a full water bottle, snack, hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing for exercising in summer.

AUGUST 5 - AUGUST 9, 2024

Option 1: Full-Day

Time: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm and Friday, 9am - 12 pm

Cost: $295

For: Children Ages 8-14 (Must be entering 2nd grade to start full day camp)

Option 2: Half-Day

Time: Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm

Cost: $210

For: Children Ages 5-14

Program Information

Join us this summer to develop your soccer skills, make new friends and memories, and grow your love for the sport of soccer. The Skidmore Soccer camp is designed for youth players who want to improve their soccer abilities in a fun, safe, and competitive environment. Our camp curriculum and coaching staff will help you develop your ball mastery and knowledge of the game. The camp is led by Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Brad Campion and Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach, Ethan Gunty and the coaching staff will consist of current and former coaches and players for Skidmore College. Our entire staff looks forward to helping each camper meet their potential and develop a true passion for the game.

Sample Camp Schedule:

  • 9:00-9:15  Attendance, Rules, Introductions and Itinerary for the day
  • 9:15-9:40  Warm-up Game + GK Training
  • 9:45-10:15  Technical Activity #1 (Dribbling, passing, body movement, striking the ball, etc.)
  • 10:20-10:50  Technical Activity #2
  • 10:55-11:15  Snack Break and Contest (Joke contest, crazy hat/shirt, talent show, World Cup)
  • 11:20-11:50  Small Sided Games
  • 11:50-12:10  Half Day Pickup
  • 12:00-1:00  Lunch, Pool time, Soccer journaling
  • 1:15-2:45  Station Rotation: (Soccer Tennis , Soccer Golf, Soccer Horseshoes, Fun Finishing Activities, Small-side games)
  • 2:45-3:00  Camp Organization and Get Ready for Pickup
